This is an English Ash board that has been rubbed with Teak Oil to give that shiny look rather than a varnish! This is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. The board gives that super smooth glide that you would expect from a ‘longboard’.

Rapped up and tucked away for several years…and now it is time to share these amazing works of art. All these decks are inspired by the old skool flat deck street surfing style that emerged from the 1970’s but with the Foiled Concepts shaping flare. These decks were hand milled from trees that fell during Hurricane Katrina Aug 25 2005. Butt joined vertically laminated stripped planks that have hand carved contours and concaves which is finished off with an old skool hand layup fiberglass finish. The sanding coat is still on and the bolt holes have not been drilled out….a true collectors item…and performance to match!!! Also great as a Sushi Platter, or Cheese Boards!!!
Please visit the “FOR SALE” page to view some of these treasures!!!
Due to poor weather conditions we are post-poning the event untill we get favourable conditions.

The wood of the iroko tree (Chlorophora excelsa), native to the west coast of Africa. It is sometimes called African, or Nigerian, teak, but the iroko is unrelated to the teak family. The wood is tough, dense, and very durable. It is often used in cabinetmaking and paneling as a substitute for teak, which it resembles both in colour (light brown to deep golden-brown) and in grain.
Here is the first board that Gabe has shaped using Iroko – an Alaia – with a true weight in comparison with the original Alaia’s made by the Polynesian’s.
This board is for sale – please contact Gabe – gabe@foiledconcepts.com for more information
